Trolleys have always been an important part of American transportation. Cities such as Boston, New Orleans, San Francisco and New York have relied heavily on the services of the trolleycar. As transportation demands have changed, the trolleycar has evolved. WELCOME to the Riverbank-Oakdale Transit Authority (ROTA). ROTA provides a fixed route Trolley and Dial-A-Ride service in Riverbank and Oakdale, with connections to Modesto. Good service is important to our riders. This site is a way of providing you with information you need to make ROTA, a pleasant way to travel. So Ride On! |

What's new with ROTA? |

ROTA's fixed route has fourteen (14) new stops down Squire Wells Rd. in Riverbank to accommodate the new Commercial center located at Claribel and Oakdale Rds. Shopping at Target, Home Depot or having lunch at Round Table is so easy. As the commercial center grows we will change our route to pass through the shopping areas. Four (4) stops were added in Oakdale, two (2) by the new elementary school, Sierra Vista, on J St. and two (2) on A St. For your convenience, ROTA has added eight (8) new bus shelters in Oakdale and eight (8) in Riverbank. The Colonial Transit Shelter with Victorian glass walls have unique styling to blend with historic architecture. ROTA has a new Dial-A-Ride bus with a twelve (12) passenger capacity and room for two (2) wheelchairs. You can view the new ROTA Trolley

ROTA Trolley ROTA Trolley is a fixed route service that operates every 60 to 70 minutes, between the cities of Riverbank and Oakdale. Just board at a green and yellow Trolley Stop signs located at 140 different locations throughout Riverbank and Oakdale. Check out the ROTA Trolley page for more details. |
